Page review – page title
Page titles are
- The first information said by screen readers when opening a page.
- shown in search engine results and browser tabs
- used for browser bookmarks/favorites
What to look for
- Check that there is a title that adequately and briefly describes the content of the page
- Check that the title on the page you are checking is different from other pages on the website
- For example, a page that lists the staff members within Public Works isn’t titled “Staff” it’s Public Works staff.
- Permalinks should match changed page titles
